What You’re Responsible For

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to design, develop, and productionize mobile SDKs and systems end to end using Kotlin and Rust.
• Craft delightful and ergonomic APIs for customers using our cross-platforms SDKs.
• Work with product and UX teams to build the core engines that power our observability product offerings.
• Take shared ownership of our SDK release and CI pipeline, enhancing its tools and systems.
• Dive deep into the cross-platform implementations in Rust that power our frameworks.
• Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and tools to enhance user experiences and advance the product tech stack.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Communicate directly with customers to announce new features and troubleshoot issues.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of mobile software engineering experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of Kotlin and JVM development.Experience in low level Android development (networking, UI rendering, disk I/O, concurrency, JNI) and/or Android infrastructure development (observability systems, tooling, performance optimizations).
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to self direct, break down tasks, and prioritize.
• Experience with low level languages (Rust, C++) is a plus.
• Experience designing and building SDKs in any language is a plus.
• Experience working on Open Source projects is a plus.Interest or experience working with distributed backend systems (also written in Rust) is a plus.
• Looking to work with a high-caliber team in a fast-paced environment.

What to Expect in the First 30 Days

• You’ll have an accelerated onboarding process, where you gain familiarity with our products and existing codebase by pairing with a senior mobile lead on a number of bug fixes, architectural changes, and an onboarding project designing and implementing new SDK features.

What to Expect in the First 90 Days

• Take personal ownership of multiple mobile projects on our roadmap.
• Be able to work across all of our existing products.
• Propose and implement architectural and performance improvements.
• Interact directly with customers on integrations, bug fixes, and product feedback sessions.Improve developer productivity by way of reducing CI times, improving documentation, and lowering the barrier of entry for contributing to mobile features.
