droidcon Berlin just wrapped up on June,18 and we have a lot to look back to!


The 8th edition of the developer conference traditionally took place in Postbahnhof and hosted more than 900 attendees (last year’s record broken!). Amongst numerous impressive talks and workshops, keynote talks by Corey Leigh Latislaw and Joanna Smith are definately worth a look. Among other exciting sessions, Jon Reeve talked about reverse engineering, Huyen Dao held an insightful talk on loving lean layouts and Chris Banes reviewed app styling @style.Themes.And.Style.Demystified. Call for Papers:


Good news: submission deadline for droidcon London has been extended till July, 15! Here’s what the organizers say about it:


We’re putting on two days of expert lead talks by the champions of the Android world. Proposals for droidcon London 2016 will be selected by Skills Matter and the Programme Committee on the basis of making this a varied and valuable event. The submission is open to anyone, and we encourage first-time speakers to submit a proposal. The members of the programme committee will offer coaching and assistance if necessary.


The chosen speakers will receive two free tickets to the conference; One for the speaker, and another for a guest of their choosing.


We’re particularly keen to hear from you on the below topics/themes:


– Related Technologies (e.g. AI, Data Science, Supporting technologies, Real time analytics)
– Machines (IoT, Brillo, Cars, Wearables, Android TV, Custom ROMs, Android Auto, Android Wear 2.0)
– VR (App review, Android VR (day dream))
– Games
– UX / UI (e.g. Usability, Accessibility, Multi-Window, Tango, Material Design & animation)

Call for Papers for droidcon NYC is still ongoing, you can submit your session idea here. The organizers put together a couple of guidelines for paper submissions here. There are still tickets available for regular attendees and start-ups.


droidcon Tel Aviv will take place in September and the call for papers is already open! You can submit your session ideas here. More information about the Tel Aviv edition is TBA.


New dates:


droidcon is expanding its geography and heading over to China! First edition of droidcon Beijing is planned for November, 16-17. Fell free to submit your session ideas till October, 10 to get a chance and be a part of droidcon China. If you are planning to come as a visitior, you can already secure a conference ticket here.


We’re excited to announce a new edition of droidcon Krakow ! The developer conference will take place on December 1-3 and will be built up from two session-packed days as well as a hackathon wrapping up the droidcon experience.


    Droidcon is the largest global network of developer conferences with a focus on the best in Android.
